Future plc, the FTSE 250-listed specialist media publisher, has entered a strategic partnership with OpenAI to integrate content from over 200 media brands into ChatGPT. The collaboration raises questions about the evolving landscape of digital publishing and AI content distribution.
ChatGPT users will access content from Future’s portfolio, including PC Gamer, TechRadar, Marie Claire, and Tom’s Guide. The integration provides attribution and direct links to original articles. Future CEO Jon Steinberg stated, “ChatGPT provides a whole new avenue for people to discover our incredible specialist content.”
Future has developed specialized chatbots for Tom’s Hardware and Who What Wear, and is using OpenAI’s tools across sales, marketing, and editorial functions to boost productivity. OpenAI COO Brad Lightcap explained, “This partnership enables us to enhance the ChatGPT experience by providing more access to engaging, up to date and reliable information from a range of specialist sources.”
