Withings has revealed Omnia, a smart mirror that aims to change how we track our health at home. The full-length mirror, showcased at CES 2025, combines the functions of several health devices into one intelligent system that monitors various health metrics.

The mirror’s base acts as an advanced scale that measures more than just weight. It tracks heart health through ECG readings and measures body composition, showing the balance between muscle and fat, which helps in understanding overall health better.

What sets Omnia apart is its AI voice assistant. The assistant analyzes your health data and provides real-time feedback and guidance. Based on the collected health information, it can offer recommendations and help schedule doctor appointments when needed.

The mirror can pull in health data from other devices you might already use, like smart watches or sleep trackers. This creates a complete picture of your health. The system includes telehealth capabilities, allowing users to connect with healthcare professionals and share their health data for review.

Tech Advisor notes that Omnia shows what’s possible when combining Withings’ existing health products into one device. While the mirror itself isn’t ready for sale yet, Withings is bringing some of its features to current products. This April, they’re launching BPM Vision, a $129.95 blood pressure monitor. They’re also adding a service where heart doctors can review your heart readings within 24 hours, available through their Withings+ subscription ($9.95 monthly or $99.95 yearly).

The health tracking market continues to grow, with 80 million Americans currently using health-focused smart devices. This number is expected to reach 90 million by 2028. However, previous attempts at smart mirrors, like Lululemon’s Mirror, faced challenges and were discontinued in 2023 due to low demand.

Practical considerations exist, like finding space for a full-length mirror in homes where space might be limited. The integration of multiple health features into one device could simplify health monitoring, though some might prefer using smaller, separate devices they already own.

The technology signals a shift in home health monitoring, making health tracking more integrated into daily routines. While Omnia remains in development, it demonstrates potential advancements in home healthcare technology and communication with healthcare providers.
