Adobe has launched Acrobat Studio, a new platform that turns static PDFs into interactive knowledge hubs. Released on August 19, 2025, this new tool combines Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Express, and AI capabilities to help users work with documents more efficiently.

The core of Acrobat Studio is “PDF Spaces,” which allows users to upload up to 100 files—including PDFs, web pages, and Office documents. These spaces act as centralized hubs where AI assistants help analyze multiple documents at once.

Users can ask questions about their files and receive answers with clickable citations linking directly to source information. “Acrobat Studio is the place where your best work comes together, uniting the productivity of Acrobat, the creative power of Adobe Express and the value of AI,” said Abhigyan Modi, Senior Vice President of Adobe’s Document Product Group.

Adobe has built several pre-designed AI assistants into the platform. These include roles like “analyst,” “instructor,” and “entertainer,” each designed for different tasks. Users can also create custom assistants tailored to specific projects.

The platform integrates Adobe Express Premium, giving users access to templates, brand kits, and Firefly-powered tools that can generate images and videos from text descriptions. This connection helps bridge the gap between document analysis and content creation without switching between multiple apps.

Not everyone is impressed, however. Financial analyst Dan Ives noted in a research report that “Adobe is off to a slower AI start than we had anticipated,” removing the company from Wedbush’s AI 30 list due to concerns about potential disruption. Acrobat Studio is available globally in English, with early access pricing starting at $24.99 per month for individuals and $29.99 per month for teams. The platform includes a 14-day trial period, and some features like PDF Spaces and AI Assistant are available at no additional cost until September 1, 2025.
