CMF, the sub-brand of Nothing, launched its first over-ear headphones called the CMF Headphone Pro this week. The new headphones pack several high-end features while keeping the price surprisingly low at just $99 in the US, €99 in Europe, and £79 in the UK.

European customers can already purchase the headphones, while US buyers will need to wait until October 7.

The most impressive feature is the battery life – CMF claims the Headphone Pro can last up to 100 hours without active noise cancellation (ANC) and around 50 hours with ANC enabled. A quick 5-minute charge provides up to 5 hours of playback, while a full charge takes about 2 hours.

For sound quality, the headphones come equipped with 40mm drivers featuring nickel-plated diaphragms in a dual-chamber design. They support LDAC and Hi-Res Audio codecs alongside standard SBC and AAC options. The hybrid adaptive ANC can reduce noise up to 40dB and includes a Transparency Mode for hearing your surroundings when needed.

What makes these headphones stand out is their unique control system. Instead of touch panels, the CMF Headphone Pro features physical controls including an “Energy Slider” for adjusting bass and treble, a Roller for volume control and playback functions, and a customizable button that can be programmed through the Nothing X app.

Design-wise, the headphones come in Dark Grey, Light Grey, and Light Green colors with swappable ear cushions. They feature Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity with Google Fast Pair and Microsoft Swift Pair support, allowing for quick connections to various devices. The headphones also support multipoint pairing to connect to multiple devices simultaneously and include IPX2 water resistance for light protection against splashes.

For calls, the headphones include Environmental Noise Cancellation (ENC) to reduce background noise during conversations. They can be used both wirelessly and wired via a USB-C connection.

With this combination of features typically found in much more expensive headphones, the CMF Headphone Pro aims to shake up the sub-$100 headphone market by offering premium functionality at an affordable price point.
