Flex Titanium Display Structure

Announced July 15, 2026
Samsung unveiled Flex Titanium technology for the next generation of Galaxy foldable devices. Built on seven generations of foldable innovation, the redesigned display structure uses two titanium-based components — a titanium-alloy film and a titanium plate — working together to balance slimness, flexibility and strength.

“Samsung’s strength in the foldable category comes from connecting user needs with our technologies that deliver tangible benefits in everyday life,” said Sunghoon Moon, EVP and Senior Executive, Mobile R&D Office – H/W, Samsung Electronics. “For the next generation of Galaxy foldables, Samsung is building on years of expertise to bring display innovations into devices that enhance user experiences.”

The Galaxy Unpacked July 2026 event in London is scheduled for July 22 at 2 PM BST. Samsung is expected to introduce three foldable devices: the Galaxy Z Fold 8, Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, and Galaxy Z Flip 8. The Z Fold 8 will feature a new 4:3 aspect ratio with a 5.5-inch outer display and a 7.6-inch inner screen. The Z Fold 8 Ultra will include a 200MP main camera and a 5,000mAh battery. The Z Flip 8 is expected to maintain a slim 6.1mm body with a 4,300mAh battery.

All three devices are expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor. Samsung also introduced Flex Titanium display technology, which integrates a titanium-alloy film and a titanium plate to enhance durability and reduce crease visibility. The event will be streamed live on Samsung.com, Samsung Newsroom, and Samsung’s YouTube channel.
