Xiaomi launched its first AI Glasses at its “Human x Car x Home” event in Beijing on June 26, 2025. These new smart glasses take direct aim at Meta’s Ray-Ban glasses with better battery life and more features.
Better Battery and Recording Time
The biggest advantage of Xiaomi’s glasses is battery life. They can run for up to 8.6 hours on a single charge, more than double the 4-hour limit of Ray-Ban Meta glasses. A full recharge takes just 45 minutes through USB-C.
Another standout feature is video recording time. While Meta’s glasses can only record for three minutes at a stretch, Xiaomi’s glasses can capture video for up to 45 minutes continuously. The 12MP ultra-wide camera shoots 2K video at 30 frames per second.

Smart Features That Work
The built-in XiaoAI assistant does more than just take photos. It can:
- Translate text in over 10 languages in real-time
- Identify objects around you
- Estimate calories in food
- Make payments by scanning QR codes (coming September 2025)
- Record and summarize meetings
At just 40 grams, the glasses include five microphones that work even in windy conditions and dual speakers for clear audio. They’re powered by a Qualcomm chip and Xiaomi’s own operating system.

Design and Price Options
The glasses come in three colors: Black, Green, and Brown. They’re specially designed for Asian facial features with adjustable temples for a better fit.
Pricing is competitive, starting at CNY 1,999 ($280) for the basic model with clear lenses. Two versions with special lenses that can change tint are available: a single-color version for CNY 2,699 ($375) and a multi-color version for CNY 2,999 ($420). These special lenses can adjust to different lighting conditions in just 0.2 seconds.
Market Growth and Competition
The smart glasses market is growing fast – up 210% in 2024 and expected to grow another 60% this year. Meta currently leads with over 60% of global sales, but Xiaomi is betting its extensive ecosystem of smart home devices and electric vehicles will give it an edge.
“Xiaomi’s extensive ecosystem, which includes smart home devices and electric vehicles,” gives it a significant advantage, according to He Wangcheng, an analyst at WellsennXR.
For now, these glasses are only available in China. Since they’re designed specifically for Asian facial features, this exact model may not be released globally.
