“The Apple TV app was built from the ground up to deliver Android users a familiar and intuitive interface,” states Apple’s official release. This means Android phone owners won’t need to learn a new system to use the app.
The timing matters. Android phones make up 72% of all phones worldwide. Apple’s move means millions more people can now watch its shows. The company’s services, including TV+, already bring in $100 billion yearly.
