According to the Stanford AI Index, published recently, India is at the top of the world. It is ahead in the use and availability of AI skills. India is at number one position with 2.8 marks followed by USA with 2.2 and Germany with 1.9 marks. Moreover, India has 0.42% of AI talent concentration by geographic area, 2023.
As per the report of Wheelbox, the Indian AI industry is one of the five fastest growing AI business centers of the world. Indian AI business will be of the value of $28.8 billion by the end of this year.
India has launched ‘AI Mission’ and an amount of Rs 10,300 crores is earmarked for it. Graphic Processing Units (GPUs) and research facilities will be made available at affordable rates. An Indian application will be developed in Indian languages.
Ten thousand GPU computing facilities were provided at the beginning of the AI Mission. An additional 8,693 units will be provided soon. The capacity of this facility is nine times more than Deepseek. It is two thirds times more than Chat GPT.
